Our Canadian Adventure

We had a wonderful time in Canada last weekend with Ma-my and Papa. Canada's Wonderland worked out great. We got there right when it opened and stayed until it started to sprinkle around 3:00pm. Evan was hilarious and LOVED going on the rides. He even rode a few all by himself! Evan also had a grand time swimming in the hotel pool and slept in a "big boy bed" in Ma-my and Papa's room! I'll have to include a picture of Erin from the hotel to prove that she was there :-)
Ok...I can't figure out how to get the pictures back in the correct order on my new laptop so you'll just have to deal with them being out of order! :-)
Evan enjoying an extremely large sucker:
You can just see how *adored* he is by Ma-my and Papa in this picture.
Backstory is necessary here. My mom has been on ONE ride (besides the Carousel) in my lifetime. We talked her into going on the pirate ship when we were at Canada's Wonderland when we were small. She could barely walk when she got off. I think it says a lot that she was willing to go on this ride because Evan asked her to - can you say indulged? :-) She's laughing in the picture and I actually think she enjoyed herself - heehee!
Papa and I almost died with laughter when we saw Evan riding with his hands up in the air. He was watching a big girl who was doing it and he had to, too. He's so cool already!
So cute!

A little update

I'm back with more pics! Everything here is going very well! Evan is loving his "Grasshopper" gym class and swim lessons at the Y. Erin is the happiest baby ever - provided she has eaten and slept to her heart's content. If not - look out! We are heading to Canada tomorrow with ma-my and papa. Our plan is to hit Canada's Wonderland on Saturday and IKEA on Sunday. We're excited! I'll definitely have more pictures to share after our Canadian adventure.

PS. The pictures have downloaded backwards/in a weird order and I'm too lazy to move them all around. They're still cute :-)

Evan wouldn't eat the cake part of the cupcake but he did enjoy making a mess with the icing!

Evan doing his own photo shoot.

Wearing her "I love Dad" shirt on Pat's 30th birthday!

Mother's Day

Erin wearing Evan's favorite outfit. He would dress her in this outfit every day if he could!

A short hiatus

So you might have guessed that I would be updating the blog less often after the arrival of Erin and you were right. However, this can't be blamed on Erin. My sweet husband was attempting to help me by adding more memory to my laptop to make it "faster" a few weeks ago and it hasn't turned on since :-). This has caused me major anxiety for many reasons. The biggest reason is that I am obsessed with pictures of the kids. Taking them, organizing them, looking at them. I am not able to take nearly as many as I did pre-Erin but I still enjoy taking them when I can and I haven't been able to download any or share them. I have commandiered Pat's work laptop because I couldn't take it anymore. So without further ado - here is a small portion of the back log. I'm going to comment as little as possible so I'm not up all night doing this update!

Both Erin and Evan are doing great! Erin is an amazing night sleeper and we are just starting to get into a *very loose* routine here at home. She cries/screams a lot more than I remember Evan crying/screaming but she also smiles a TON more :-) I guess you could say she's all girl already! Evan absolutely adores her and it's so, so awesome to see them together.

Easter egg fun!

Easter baskets. Poor Erin didn't even get a real basket. She got a tiny $0.99 version. Good thing she didn't notice. :-)

Evan in his Easter duds.

Easter

Ma-my set up an Easter egg hunt in the backyard. She is CAH-RAZY and made tiny cookies to put in all of the eggs since Evan doesn't like candy.

Zoo trip

For the record, Evan wouldn't touch the elephant.

Peter, Josh and Julius came for the weekend a couple of weeks ago. We had so much fun! Peter is a SAINT and sent Pat and I to bed one night and stayed up with Erin. She brought her up to eat when she was hungry and that was it! AWESOME.

The boys at the playground....on the BIG BOY SWINGS!! What a difference a year makes!

One month old!

Erin with some of her Murphy cousins....Erin (Murphy), Maureen and Chris!

Erin's first trip to Skaneateles.

Evan inspecting his first "big boy boo-boo" (first one that bled!). He kept checking to make sure the band-aids were still there.

Erin's first headband. I thought she was feeling bad about not having enough hair on top for any of her barrettes so we tried a headband :-)

Finally, it was "dub-dub" night for both E's tonight.

All clean and ready for bed!
